SCP Rebates and Eligibility Requirements
Sonoma Clean Power offers incentives to residential and commercial customers in Sonoma and Mendocino Counties who are improving the energy efficiency of their homes by purchasing and installing efficient appliances and equipment. When you apply for a rebate, you'lll automatically join GridSavvy Rewards and receive alerts when the electricity grid is overloaded, allowing you to earn rewards by reducing your energy use during those times.
- Program rules, rebates, and eligibility may change at any time.
- Installation address must be an SCP account.
- Project must be submitted no more than 90 days after project completion. For most projects, this will be the date listed on your finalized permit.
- For induction installations that don’t require a permit, if the purchase was made more than 90 days before submitting your application, you’ll need to include additional documents, such as an installation invoice.
- SCP rebates are not to exceed the total project cost when combined with other rebates.
- Heat pumps systems paired with a gas heating element are ineligible for rebates.
- Customers are eligible for one rebate per appliance type per account number.
- New construction is not eligible, with the exception of fire rebuilds.
- To receive free induction cookware, customers should contact our Customer Center to arrange pickup after the rebate has been approved. Customers have 14 days to collect their cookware.
- Customers may opt to allocate $25 of their rebate to a Community Partner of their choice. Personal information won't be shared with the Community Partner unless requested. Please note, donations are not tax-deductible.
